Course Overview

This course is for practitioners who are currently working with frail adults in an assessment or caring capacity. It aims to deepen your understanding of the physical and psychological impact of frailty on a person’s health and wellbeing.

We’ll guide you to explore and evaluate evidence-based methods for detecting frailty and encourage you to consider appropriate theoretical principles as part of your decision making process. Examining the theories surrounding frailty can help you understand the causes of frailty and the long term impact frailty has on health and social care outcomes. We’ll also support you to develop skills in frailty assessment and care‐planning for patients living with frailty.
